About

Clinical Psychologist, Coach, Author and Speaker

I applaud you on taking this important step in caring for yourself! Seeking help is not easy and requires hope and courage. As a psychologist and coach for the past 15 years, I have been privileged to share in the journey of many adults and couples as they navigate their emotions, identities and relationships. I am also a 1.5 generation immigrant (Filipina) and parent, interracially married, and comfortable with complexity and nuance. I know you are more than your roles, relationships and job! Together we will explore how to identify what may be getting in the way of you living a life of truth and authenticity based on your core values. I offer counseling to adults and couples with presenting concerns such as anxiety, depression, grief, life stressors and transitions, relationship and marital issues, parenting, evolving racial and cultural identity, 1.5 generation immigrant issues and intergenerational trauma. Groups focused on dissertation, navigating graduate school and supporting therapists of color may also be available. Additionally, I also offer coaching services (NOT therapy) focused on life, career, academic, acting, dissertation work and clinical supervision. I am a published editor and author (www.thrivingingradschool.com) as well as a mental health speaker and presenter for organizations such as Yahoo, Inc, The Filipino American National Historic Society, The Asian American Journalist Association, Metro Counseling Conference, Harry's Inc, The New York State Psychological Association and for various universities and colleges throughout the US. Finally, I am a clinical supervisor for the CUNY Graduate Center Psychological Services Center and a CCE supervisor for Long Island University. Finding the right therapist and coach can be a difficult but worthwhile endeavor. If you feel I may be the right therapeutic and coaching match for you, feel free to contact me for a free 15-minute phone consultation (this is not a therapy session). I wish you well in your journey to self-discovery and positive mental health!
